TOR means The Old-Fashioned Republic? Apparently BioWare’s upcoming new MMORPG title The Old Republic may have better been named The Old-Fashioned Republic by supporters of same-sex relationships. It appears that the upcoming new Star Wars based MMO will allow players to have relationships between players and their in-game companions so long as the companions are of the opposite sex of course. It would appear that love is limited in the realm of Lucasarts games since according to producer Cory Butler, same-sex relationships won’t be an available option to players.
This was also mentioned previously on a post made on the official The Old Republic forums by Sean Dahlberg, the community manager for this BioWare title. Sean’s response to a question posed about how the MMO will handle same-sex relationships Sean stated, “As I have stated before, these are terms that do not exist in Star Wars. Thread closed.”
So don’t get upset if you are pro same-sex relationship, apparently there were no gay people in the entire Star Wars universe! Blame Lucasarts and the big guy, Mr. Lucas himself, rather than blame BioWare.
Remember, the Force will be with you always.. if you are heterosexual that is.
