EA Owned Bioware says end game for TOR will differ

PC Gamer’s new ‘MMO issue’ brings us news from EA owned Bioware regarding end game content. They are aiming for a mix of new and old as it relates to the end game play. The pain of every mmo on the market right now really is end game content and what to do once maximum level is achieved.

From a players perspective this equates to BORING and unfun, so the player will wander off to find greener MMO pastures. Which obviously equates to lost revenues for the MMO producer, a definite reason for these game developers to be causing such a fuss about their end game content or lack there of.

The MMO’s creative director, James Olhen, was quoted as saying the following:

“We’re looking at classic [endgame] systems, but we’re also doing something brand new that hasn’t been done in an MMO before. So we’re going to mix those two together.”

“We want to make sure the endgame isn’t completely different to what you have been doing,” he said. “So there will be a natural progression… We want to make sure that when people play ToR they feel like they never run out of content… that it’s an epic story.”

I, like many others, am looking forward to this MMO with great interest and this little tidbit makes it that much more appealing.
