Cryptic Studios Launches Champedia!
In an attempt to lure more people to their site in order to centralize their community, Cryptic Studios has launched a new online tool called the “Champedia”. While not being the next great thing since similar tools have been made for other games, SOE games in particular have quite a bit of this functionality available on their own player site, this is a useful tool for those Champions Online Fans out there.
It is basically a player, super group, power, and mission database with filters setup for each type of search category. I tested it and was able to find the few items I randomly chose to look up. Give it a shot and see if it will be of use for your Champions info cravings. The one obvious feature that is missing is the ability for players to post comments about the items in the database. While it would require quite a bit of moderation and administration time, that extra level of social feedback would make the tool far more useful in my humble opinion.
