Cryptic studios joins the iphone crowd
Cryptic Studios, producer of mmo games such as Champions Online and the upcoming Star Trek Online has jumped on the iphone bandwagon! They released an iphone app for their popular mmo Champions Online, the app can be found under then appropriate name of Champions Companion on the itunes store.
The app allows you to access much of the functionality that can be used on their website as it relates to the player characters in Champions Online. You can access and reply to your in game emails, view your character profiles and even character portraits for that matter. Additional functionality lets you view the status of your friends (online/offline) but unfortunately it does not allow you to message them via this functionality just yet. Maybe at some later date this will be implemented. Oh yes, and you can access the ever useful Champedia from the app as well!
The integration of these features is rather well done and I’d recommend the app to anyone who is a serious Champions Online player.
